Fans Say What?

Another one of those insane TLK fan theories. Vitani as the daughter of Nala and Scar. Say what!? Yes, I actually have seen this has a pretty popular theory. Remember Scar (in his madness - in the musical, and in the original script) did want Nala as his queen so I suppose it isn't too farfetched. I admit, when I was younger (when Simba's Pride first came out) I was convinced that Nuka and Vitani were Scar's cubs, even if Kovu wasn't. Nuka in my opinion looks a lot like Scar but also has some of Zira's features (like her eyes) Vitani doesn't really look anything like Zira, especially when she's a cub.

Now, let me just make it clear that I do not agree with this theory (in fact I now agree with Disney that none of the three outlander cubs are Scar's) but I do love Vitani (what can I say, I love the tomboys) and just felt like drawing her with Nala and Scar to compare them.

Some things to debate over...

Vitani has Nala's blue eyes!
Uh, not really. It's been a debate for years on what color Nala's eyes officially are, some people say they're green while others say they're blue. To me, I have always seen them as aqua! In fact, one of my favorite colors is aqua and one of the reasons is that it always reminds me of Nala! I love her eyes!

Vitani's eyes are more purple in my opinion, or a very dark blue...but you can't ignore the purple tint in some scenes.

Vitani has Scar's nose and dark eye rims!
Yes, yes she does...of course all of the outlanders have those dark eye rims and the pointed noses. Her nose is pink, which you could argue is more like Nala's (Nala's nose seems to darken to a light brown as an adult, though)

Vitani has Nala's colors
Sorta? She's actually much darker than Nala...of course that could fit right in with this theory, seeing that Scar is darker...she always looked more of a light golden tan color to me...

Vitani is too young to be Scar's
Well, yes and no...if she were born right around the same time Simba returned, maybe? She always seemed a little older than Kovu to me. But like I said, I don't think Scar had any cubs of his own...

Vitani has Nala's spunk and Scar's smarts
Yeah, she sorta does, huh? I love her feisty personality and she is pretty smart, she's the first to step up in agreement with Kiara and Kovu. But that doesn't mean she's the offspring of Scar and Nala. XD

"Where's your pretty daughter Nala!?"
I have heard some people taking this quote a little too seriously, as if Kiara is Nala's preferred daughter and Vitani was her dark secret, banished to the outlands...since Nala would want no connections to Scar. I couldn't see Nala doing such a thing, though. XD

Anyone care to add to that list? Have at it. I just did this as an lol, 'cause these theories amuse the hell outta me. XD And this is just one of the reasons I prefer the original to SP...it's migraine inducing to think of where these outlanders and all these new cubs (cute as they are) came from when there was no mention of them in the first movie (yes I know why, doesn't make it any less confusing when thinking of theories though)
